This image will make some of my readers smile. Some, perhaps not. Guess which category I fall into.

Our younger granddaughter is the family’s Sarah Bernhardt. She never leaves home without her purse, pearls, a wrap and sunglasses. When I saw this the pearls potty-adjacent, I imagined Leah rushing to powder her nose yet taking a moment to remove her beloved pearls to hang them on the nearby damper lever.

It turns out nothing of the sort actually happened. Our daughter-in-law was straightening up and hung Leah’s pearls on the closest hook within reach.  While I prefer my mind-story, Elizabeth’s in-the-moment solution resonates. I do that, too.  Which is why I’ve been known to find a mislaid book beside the milk in the fridge and missing car keys in my shoes.
