We had just hiked to the top of a formation that gives one a 360° view of Sedona and the mountains. We enjoyed a picnic lunch, rested a bit more and then started down. It was late afternoon, thus our lengthened shadows. I love how Martin looks like a cowboy in this photo with his Tilley hat securely on his head. I’m wearing one of my hiking skirts; my Tilley hat looks like a sun bonnet. We have been pioneers of a sort (if you r…e…a…l…l…y stretch the metaphor.) Who would have ever thought a boy from Brooklyn and a girl from Georgia would find themselves joyously hiking in red rock country day after day?
But we have. And we do.
This is so cool, Debra! Love those elongated shadows, playing in the sunshine. Sounds like such a fun day!
Love your description of hiking in Sedona! Looking forward to sharing a hike with you and Martin.
