Olivia recently gifted me with this jewel and painted paper collage. I love the way she blended the colors from sky to earth and the pure joy of the flowers marching across the page. She pointed out how the leaf on the flower at the far left faced in the opposite direction from the other four. Olivia shared how much she liked the way her red and yellow streaks combined to make orange.
Kids overflow with creative expression. Their soul’s exuberance is there on the page for all to enjoy and appreciate. I love gazing at Olivia’s latest creation, imagining how her sweet little fingers placed each and every jewel upon the petals of the flowers. Is there a sweeter gift than one from a grandchild?
